Your transmitters, receivers, scales, etc. are only as good as the batteries in them. Testing batteries is a wise move to ensure the best performance of all equipment.The Multi-Meter can test a range of voltages (and has many other functions a falconer may never use). There is a setting on the left side "20" that indicates it will test output up to 20 volts and provide a digital readout on the display. The falconer should be in the habit of testing batteries prior to inserting them in a transmitter for the first time.
The Multi-Meter comes equipped with a battery. The unit should be turned off between uses. We carry spare batteries and it will operate for about 10 days at room temperature prior to requiring a new battery if it is accidently left in the on position.
