We recommend this is strong enough for red-tailed hawk on down in size.150 foot creance line on sturdy self-locking reel. This creance reel has stainless steel fittings. Creances should be laid out on the ground carefully prior to a training flight, in a tangle free environment, rather than allow the line to play off the reel while the hawk is flying.
The reel will wind up the line quickly for storage until the next time it is needed and will not rust.
