Description
Falconry Uncommon by George Kotsiopoulos1st edition, 5.5" x 8.5", hardbound, dust wrapper, printed endsheets, 120 pages, color and black-and-white illustrations.
This is a very interesting book covering some rather obscure information from The Taka-Gari, a falconry manuscript (author unknown) of Japanese origins dating back several hundred years. Also included are The Treatise of Falconry of King Dancus (12th Century) and The Treatise of Falconry of Albertus Magnus (13th Century) which were originally translated into English along with Fragment of an Anglo-Norman Treatise of Falconry. A Selected List of Falconry Readings is included. Well presented and of distinct interest to the falconry history devotee.
