This is a very powerful transmitter for its size and it is long range, extremely reliable and rugged and has a screw-in 6"antenna. It should be chosen for very small hawks such as merlins, perlins, male Coopers, sharpies, European sparrowhawks, kestrels, etc.. After 48 hours of use it will automatically switch to a slow pulsed/low battery saving mode signaling that it is time to change the battery.
The tail mount will fit in the Marshall Small and Medium-Micro tail clips and Micro TrackPack.
These transmitters will perform well in the field and have proven reliable over time. The pulse is slowed down on this model to give it a longer range and higher output in the smaller package.
