High quality Stadium Astroturf is available by the square foot. This is the 55 oz variety which is a bit thicker than the other types offering superb cushioning and an ideal perching surface for your raptor. The pile (height of actual carpet fibers) is 1/2".

It is very sturdy, offers the exacting requirements for perching raptors in captivity to maintain healthy feet, and is easily cleaned. It can be glued to block perches, wrapped around ring or bow perches, or used as a perching surface indoors, in the car, or in the mews.
