As a young lad, Dan discovered his future home at the base of Bear Butte on the edge of the grasslands. He hacks peregrines and takes the viewer through the process from trapping a hacked female peregrine to flying her at her first duck. Beautiful scenery! This video is extremely well written and really gives us the flavor of life on the prairie. He also documents the struggles of settlers who came to that area and tried to develop a life in the unforgiving prairie.
