The Peregrine Falcon in Utah, Emphasizing Ecology and Competition with the Prairie Falcon by Richard D. Porter and Clayton M. White in collaboration with Robert J. Erwin

Brigham Young University Science Bulletin: Biological Series--Volume XVIII, Number 1, 1973, 8" x 10.75", softbound, 74 pages, black-and-white pictures and illustrations throughout.

We have a limited number of copies of this book from Clayton M. White and Richard D. Porter and will be offering them for a short time. This book offers the falconer a great deal of information to help establish criteria to locate peregrine eyries as well as information describing individual eyries. This book is the product of a study to record the known history of the peregrine falcon in Utah. The historical aspects were constructed using both existing literature and the results of a 30 year study of the birds in the state. A general background of the geographical and ecological distribution of the species in Utah is provided as are details of its nesting behavior from some Wasatch Mountain eyries. Included are environmental factors that may limit the species in Utah and especially its relationship with the prairie falcon.
