The new HSL Antenna from Marshall Radio The new HSL Yagi antenna is a new design that reduces the overall size and weight of the yagi antenna by half. Since it uses small loading coils to do this, it's called the "Half-Size Loaded" Yagi, or, HSL for short. It's now standard equipment for all Field Marshall receivers except the FM100 and it can be purchased as a upgrade option for that model after purchase. We carry the front and back replacement elements—the middle element can only be replaced by sending in your receiver to Marshall Radio. Far Element (Director): $58.95 (Away from operator.) Near Element (Reflector): $58.95 (Closest to operator.) The new HSL antenna has the identical, forward gain, front-to-back ratio and directionality as the full-size yagi antenna. Like the full-size yagi is virtually optimal in terms of the achievable performance. The elements have been reduced by 30% in length, but each one now has a tiny structural loading coil designed to accurately maintain the "electrical length" of each element.
