These hood protectors are designed for utility use in the field and are made of tough, durable leather. The two turnbuckle closures on this hood protector (hood saver, hood holster or hood carrier) are original and unique to Western Sporting's hood protector design and allow for easy one-handed operation without looking down. Worrying about losing a hood because of old, worn out Velcro closures or making too much noise while preparing to hood a hawk is not an issue.
Included with the hood protector are two sets of threaded rivets (Chicago screws), each of a different width for mounting to a bag or vest. Each hood protector's (hood saver or hood holster) lid has an embossed Western Sporting logo.
